Barrel Staves & Antlers
I love working with and upcycling barrel staves. Not only is it a great source of seasoned oak, but when you saw or drill into it, you get the heady aroma of a well aged Scotch.
Where possible, I source my antlers from the hills in and around Appin. The antlers are cast by the stags in late spring.
Some of my more popular items are shown below. Pop into my shop for a look at my current stock.
A range of whisky flights with 'Glencairn' glasses, or, a combination of glasses and water jug.
Stag Antler & Wood-turned Bottle Stoppers
These delightful bottle stoppers come in gold plate or chrome. They are topped with antler or wood and will fit a variety of bottles.
Finest Sheffield Steel blades set in red deer antler and capped with buffalo horn.
Barrel Stave Bottle Openers
A cast iron bottle opener mounted on a whisky barrel stave. A must for the man-cave or BBQ. Can be mounted directly onto a suitable wall (recommended), or hung from a sturdy hook.
Lovely little gift. These keyring pens have the advantage of being unscrewed from the cap, allowing you to write freely. I use mine as my 'Track & Trace' form filling pen. Attach it to your keys, or hang it from a lanyard.
I turn my twist pens with a variety of woods and finishes.
All my twist pens are numbered and come in a presentation box.
